Shalom to you all. May blessings go with you. Today is Friday, which makes it preparation day for those who are preparing to enter into the seventh day of rest, Shabbat. During preparation day, we put those things in order that are not yet done, and would not be able to be done tomorrow. Tomorrow, we will not cook or do commerce.
It is tradition that we read portions from the Torah, Prophets, and for those who believe Yeshua (Jesus) is Messiah, we also read from the New Covenant. We use the annual schedule. We read through the Torah in approximately one year. The triennial cycle is where the Torah is read in its entirety in three years. We read in order that we learn, to teach, and to remember.
With that being said, here are the readings for this week.
- Shof’tim Deuteronomy 16:18-21:9
Mt 5:38-42, 18:15-20; [M: continue through 53:12] Ac 3:13-26; 7:35-53;
1C 5:9-13; 1Ti 5:17-22; MJ 10:28-31
May we all find rest, revelation and fellowship!!
