Shalom to all of you. This is the sixth day of the week, Friday. For those who observe rest on the seventh day, this is our preparation for that rest. We cook, clean, shop and do whatever else needs to be done.
Another thing we do is to read portions from scripture. Traditionally, Jews read portions from the Torah and the Prophets. Additionally, believers in Yeshua Messiah read portions from the gospels and apostolic scriptures. Some use the triennial reading schedule, while many use the annual reading schedule. We are among the latter. Scripture never gets old. As we grow, our understanding grows. That is why reading and rereading these words is essential. Whoever said scripture gets old was and is dead wrong. You will always find something new when you read and study.
With that being said, here are the readings for this week. We are on the third portion from Deuteronomy, portion 46 in the Torah.
