Shalom to all of you. I did not post a Shabbat readings post last week. However, rest assured that we did read. We read the first portion from the book of Deuteronomy, or Devarim. Deuteronomy, in Greek, means "Second Law". In Hebrew, Devarim means "matters" or "Things".
This week, we will read from the second portion of this book. We do this weekly in order to learn, to teach, and that we not forget what God has done for us. We see something we didn't see before when we reread the Torah, whether it be on a annual or triennial cycle. It never gets old.
With that being said, here are the readings for this week:
- Va’etchanan Deuteronomy 3:23-7:11 Isaiah 40:1-26 Mt 4:1-11, 22:33-40;
Mk 12:28-34; Lk 4:1-13; 10:25-37; Ac 13:13-43;
Ro 3:27-31; 1Ti 2:4-6;
Ya 2:14-26; and all the readings for Parashah 17
